Hi,
Ive been living in the Baltimore my whole life and there is a great place you MUST try. The restaurant is called Green Leaf Restaurant in Hunt Valley, MD. It's absolutely delicious, pan-asian food. It doesnt leave you feel greasy and "MSGy" like a lot of asian restaurants do. The prices are just right and the menu is amazing..the pad thai is my person favorite.

Have you ever visited Silver Moon II on Baltimore street right by Shot Tower? Its mainly take-out but they have a few largish booths and a couple of small tables that are used for the Take Out Customers.
Great subs, well, great food in general. I always go there with the intentions to order something different but always end up ordering the Chicken Cheese steak with mushrooms & Fries! I am adventurous and love food, but I can't mess with the perfection that is the subs...Service can be a little slow (an extra5 minutes when it usually only takes 10) if they are busy, but it is worth it. If they have the homemade desserts, try one!

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions! We've been to Piedigrotta and do plan to officially review it, their desserts are amazing. Blue Hill Tavern is also on the list as we have a Groupon for it and the Pit beef place mentioned wouldn't happen to be Chap's would it?

Definitely off the beaten path. I think it just opened recently, but the place is amazing. I have to stop in at least once a week at least for some tacos and a papusa or three

Here is a link to some coupons for local restaurants. A few are worthwhile Arcos (mexican), JD smoke house (good sandwiches), Cafe Hon (their house salad will dill dressing is to die for among other things), La Tavola, Bartenders (Really good Pizza pub, you will love the pizza), Louisiana Restaurant (Great cajun), Diablita Cantina ( have never eaten there but curious about this new restaurant), Captain James Restaurant (some of the best seafood in the area, the crab imperial is delicious, french onion soup, hot roasted turkey yum! 24 hour carryout if you should ever have a craving.)

I've been to Diablita, right after it opened and while the idea of it is interesting (upscale mexi food...ish) the execution needed some work. A few of the dishes I tried were just too too greasy. I'm hoping that when we do officially review them, that my experience will be quite different thanks to practice. great suggestions! Keep em coming!
